Scene
description- “Frontier Command
Support “Huo An (Jackie Chan) coming to Hungary Ann to return silk scarf to “Hungary
Ann King’s female” Coldest (Lin Ping). Coldest offering a cup of wine to Huo An,
after that she striping her cloth and want to having a traditional married
ceremony with Joan.
Reason- During Hungary Ann married
ceremony, Coldest striping her cloth and expose her buttock to the audience. I
think that this scene is impolite and indecent to the audience.
It’s making
awkward to the audience too. Imagine that you have been watching this movie in
cinema with your family, and then this girl suddenly striping up her cloth and
show her buttock. What will you feeling all that? Maybe your child will be
curiously to asking you, why the “sis” is showing her ass to us. It’s also
making uncomfortable between you and your parents too.
It’s not
unrespect to female. Expose her whole back of body is one of the scene that
showing unrespect female, particular in “our” country. Because some of the
country still conservative to showing this scene.
b) SANGUINARY SCENE
Scene
description- Huo An open up a special
prison to rescue “Rome’s first Warrior” Lucius (Johncusack). Lucius was locked
there with bloody body. His scar to be countless and a pair of eye had been
blinding by “Roman Empire, Prince” Tiberous (Adrien Brody). The air filled with
the smell of sanguinary.
Reason- During Huo An rescue Lucius.
Huo An have been surprise and stun, because he can’t accepted that Lucius have
been bloody with serious injuries. I think that it’s also make audience feel surprise
and stun too, because this scene is very sanguinary and disgusting. Someone
even can “smell” that kind of sanguinary in the air.
It’s also
will make uncomfortable and frighten to the audience and Childs who timid.
Imagine that you are eaten full before the movie time, then during this scene,
it will make an illusion that your food mix with this kind of sanguinary. Maybe
your child or an audience who timid will feel scare or unaccepted this kind of
bloody guy.
This scene
hasn’t taking into account for “special audience”. Maybe some of the audiences
having special diseases like scare blood or ugly injuries. This scene will make
them feel uncomfortable, or recurrence their diseases like Asthma, vomiting,
faint or etc.
c)
UNCOMFORTABLE SCENCE
Scene
description- Rome Little Prince
(Simon Son) having a serious illnesses with hunger. Huo An invite Chinese
physicians to treatment him. Physician through acupuncture to save his life.
Reason- During the Chinese
physician’s treatment process, he is using different size of needle to pricking
Little Prince’s acupuncture point. Maybe the director want to highlighting the
treatment of culture Chinese to showing
that Little Prince is lie on Chinese place to remain and continuity process to
the audience. I think that this shot can’t be show on Malaysian cinema, because
when the physician acupuncturing Little Prince’s belly, his belly been concave
by the needle, this scene is really make uncomfortable to the audience
especially a people who having an Obsessive compulsive disorder or Childs. It
will make them keep reviewing the scene in their mind to causing influence of
spirit.
d) VIOLENCE
Scene
description- Lucius lead a group of
army to escape from their country. They want to invasion Yanmenguan for survival.
But they are blocking by Huo An. Then Huo An having a fight to Lucius.
Reason- Bashes and kicks, waving
their army, cool pose, bashing and etc. This kind of posture and action are
mostly influence Childs to imitation like a super hero. Most of the Childs may not think too much of
this kind of action is safety or not. They only think about the posture is cool
or not. Its will indirect transferring bad educate to the Childs.
Its doesn’t
look like a good way to spreading a good educate to the audiences. Instead, its
spearing a bad educate that through a violence to get what you need or what you
want. Imagine that if all the people are using this kind of rule to get their
demand, then the piece will gone.
Its also will
vilify and make a bad image to audience that the ancients people through
violence to solving all the troubles.
e) BAD
INFLUENCE
Scene
description- A group of army wants to
hunted down Huo An and his family, then they make a fight. One of the Hungary Ann’s soldier shoot
through the enemy’s sore throat by bow with arrow.
Reason I think this scene will
influent and increase level of brutal to audience. Maybe its one of the way to
let some of the audience use it in really life, first time the people will
feeling that it is brutal and I can’t make it, but through second time, third
time… the people will start numbness and feel nothing of this, and finally
process it. This kind of murder technique is one of the way to practice some
people to murder someone. Maybe the people will follow this kind of action and
imitate it to kill someone or animal to getting some special “feeling”.

Scene
Description- Yanmenguan’s Captain
(Xiao Wang) getting a notification from
king that immediately to fixing Yanmenguan. But they can’t finish it before
expired date. So that they make a deal with Lucius and his army for fixing
Yanmenguan.
Reason- I really this kind of
scene. People always say that work
smart, don’t work hard. This proverb is happening in this scene. Firstly, Prisoners
use an old technique to fix Yanmenguan. This is representing people work hard.
Lucius’s army feeling that kind technique is like a joke, then they teaching
and educate their technique to the prisoner. Lucius’s army won’t immediately to
start construction. They are having a pre-construction first which is
measurement the high and weight of the building, make a construction map, build
up a crane and etc. After finish preparing, then start working, its save more
time, save more resources. They are representing work smart. This scene
educates us having a strong preparation before start doing any work. Don’t be a
frog in a well, you need to never stop learning and expose ding.
b) Pacific
Scene
description- They hanging up their
own flag in Yanmenguan.
Reason- Hua An manage and educate
pacific to everyone. Everyone treat well to each other, don’t caring about
culture, race, background. Take caring to everyone even you come from anywhere
and popularize this virtue to everyone. He hoping and leading all of them to
designing their own flag and hang it up at once day. Firstly, all the people
feel that this is impossible, until they experience different problem and solve
it together. Finally they trust it, they really pacific is still in this world.
I believe that pacific is still on this world, and it’s very important to us.
For me, this scene is very touch, I sincere hope that this scene can really
happening in our work, everyone take caring to each other, forget about
culture, background and “color of skin”.
c) Important
of knowledge
Scene
description- Huo An’s wife are
educate and teaching their “children”.
Reason- I like this scene. It’s
warm. Sound of reading; I can even smell a book in the air. At the ancient, you
are not easy to get educate. So that when I see someone spending her time to
teach a Childs, I will feel touch. She really knew that the Childs are the
future. I really like her motivate. Because she starting to teach a good
motivate and knowledge the Childs since they are young, its can make them have
a good educate during their growth.
d) Shearing
Scene
description- Huo An sing a song for
personal performance during their short break.
Reason- I will select this scene,
because its represent “shearing”. During his short break, Huo An shearing his
talent to sing a song for entertainment to other. The atmosphere of this moment
is relax, friendly, enjoy, comfortable, unstressed and etc. It’s making
resonance to other and leading them to sing together with clapping the hand.
After Huo An finish the song, then it’s a turn to Little Prince, he sharing his
country song. In this scene, we can know that how important of “sharing”. If
you treat well to people, people also will treat well to you.
e) Conscience
Scene description- Adrien
Brody having a serious injuries, but nobody want to save him.
Reason- Extent of authority,
greedy, high ambition and money will make people showing the ugly part of human
nature. Adrien Brody is a good example. He have a high ambition and greedy to getting
all the country. He brutal, heartless to achieve his destination. But you have
been afraid to it if you do like this, because you will pay the price when you
fall down .

Scene Description- Lucius
at the high place to thinking his future.
Reason- I think it’s too much of
blue in this scene. Maybe the exactly environment is really like this. We have
to color grade it as continuity shot to other scene.
b) Boring
Scene
description- All the country
gathering together to fight with Adrien Brody.
Reason- There are few more
different country over day. Each country will having a appearances shot like
about the picture. I have a bit boring to me.
